How Does It Happen?

On Saturday, February 9th, while we were hosting a team, our church met a new refugee named Pedro*.  Pedro is a political refugee from South America who had arrived in the US the previous week. Reach The Nations was able to bless him with clothes, a Spanish Bible, fellowship and, through translation, some much needed encouragement. He came to church the following day and began looking into the things of the Lord.
During Pedro’s first month in Clarkston, God answered some key prayers for him. God reminded him of His goodness. Pedro came into contact with his niece and began making rapid progress learning English. Later, on Friday March 1st, he accepted the Lord as his Savior and began considering baptism. Reach The Nations was honored to share a beautiful moment in Pedro’s life, his first communion.
After staying in Clarkston for six weeks, Pedro found his brother online in Nebraska. He made plans to move to Nebraska and be united with him. We are grateful for the opportunity to have met Pedro for the short time he was here with us in Clarkston.  We rejoice in God’s goodness; that He used the six weeks Pedro was with us to bring him to Himself. He is a God of divine appointments! Glory to His name!
